If it has already been 24 hours and your listing is still appearing as "blocked" or is marked as failed for Hotpads, take a look at the following reasons to see if any of them apply to your listing.
A failed listing will have a failed indicator next to the syndicated partner site it has failed on. In some cases, a reason for why the listing failed will be provided but other times, you may only see the status change.
Below are 4 main reasons why your listing may have been marked as failed for Hotpads:
If you have created your listing directly on Hotpads, Zillow, or Trulia, this could cause a conflict with a duplicate listing. If so, please remove the listing you placed elsewhere and then try to publish your listing again within your Avail account.
It is not uncommon for legitimate listings to accidentally get caught up in Hotpads's fraud filters. As this cannot be resolved by simply recreating the listing directly on Hotpads, we will ask you to provide us with some sort of proof of possession document that shows your name and the property address.
This can be:
- Recent Utility Bill (preferred)
- Mortgage Statement
- Insurance Policy
Once received, an Avail agent will send this to our contact with these Hotpads to request that they remove the block.
In some geographic areas like NYC, the Zillow group has restricted the ability to syndicate listings from Avail, opting for users to utilize their other services such as Streeteasy. In a situation like this, your listing may still syndicate with our other partner sites.
Partner sites like Hotpads are map-based, which require the address listed on the property to be the full and accurate postal address. For example: 123 Main Street Chicago, IL 60614.
If none of these situations pertain to your listing and it has already been 24 hours since you attempted to publish your listing, please reach out to us at firstname.lastname@example.org
