Getting set up on AutoPay will make your life easier and make sure your rent is never late. Avail still sends you an e-mail the day before letting you know that money is going to be taken from your account so you can remember.
To get started, I’m going to go back into my payments page on the left nav bar.
At the top of the page, there is a toggle switch for AutoPay. Select the toggle to set up AutoPay.
There are 3 steps to set up auto pay. Select the amount you want to schedule each month. Choose your payment source. Then select the withdrawal date in regards to how early before rent is due.
I want to pay my whole rent for this payment so I enter 3,200.
Then I will select the Payment Source. I can select the bank account or credit card on file. I can also select Change Bank or Change Card to add another payment source.
Lastly, I’ll go ahead and enter the amount that I want to pay each month. This can be the full amount or a portion of it if you have roommates who you’ll be splitting the rent with. Since I’m living on my own, I’ll go ahead and schedule the full amount (1-0-0-0).
Ok, so I’ve elected to have $1000.00 withdrawn from my bank account each month 5 business days before they rent is due. So now I’ll go ahead and finalize this by clicking on “Enroll Now”.
Great. Auto pay was successfully enabled.
And if I look through my list of rent payments, I can see that they all reflect that the full payment has been scheduled.
If I wanted to edit the auto-pay settings I can click into “auto-pay on” and make my adjustments. Or if I wanted to turn auto-pay off at any time I can also do that within this form by toggling auto-pay off and I can again check my charges to see there is no longer any payments scheduled but I do want auto-pay on so I will keep it toggled “on”.
If for any reason I need to edit one specific payment I can do so by clicking into the charge and making that edit.
Great, I have auto-pay set and ready to go!
