Individual charges can be created by a landlord at any time to charge tenants for additional rent, utilities, late charges, or other fees.
1. Navigate to the Payments Tab
2. Press Request a Payment
3. Enter Payment Information
4. Verify the information and select Add Charge
To create a new charge, start by navigating to the desired unit by pressing Manage Unit on the dashboard. Then select the Payments Tab at the top of the page.
Select the Request a Payment button in the upper-righthand corner of the payment schedule.
Fill in the charge details. This starts with the amount due and due date.
Select an option from the drop-down list to designate what the charge is for.
Add a short description if applicable.
By default, tenants will be notified when a new charge is created. To create a charge without a notification, uncheck the box labeled: Notify tenants about this charge.
Verify all the information and select Add Charge.
A confirmation will appear once the charge has been created. Press View Charge to reopen and record a payment or press Dismiss to return to the payment schedule.
The charge will now appear on the payment schedule for both the landlord and the tenant. A yellow label will designate this as a New charge.
