Special Note: Avail offers a secure portal to link with banks instantly; allowing payments to be scheduled immediately after connecting. The following procedure involves a verification process that can take up to 2 business days to complete before any payments can be made.
- Go to the Bank Account page
- Connect Bank Account
- Access manual add button
- Enter account details
- Confirm identity
- Wait for micro-deposits
- Confirm deposits
Step 1 - Open the Bank Account page: First, open the User Menu in the top right corner of the window, and select Bank Accounts.
Step 2 - Press Connect Bank Account
Step 3 - Access Manual Add Button: In the "Search for your bank" search bar, type "Manual." Then click on the Add Account Manually button.
Step 4 - Enter Account Details: Enter the routing and account number. You may confirm that the bank name properly displays on the pseudo-check image (image below reflects a Chase routing number.
Then choose any nickname as a label for the account.
Finally, press the Save Account button.
Step 5 - Confirm Phone: Enter your mobile phone number and click the Send Me The Code button. You will receive a text message with a 4-digit code in the message. Enter the 4-digit code as prompted and click the Send Me The Code button.
Step 6 - Verify Identity: Enter the last 4 digits of your SSN and your Date of Birth, then click Verify.
Step 7 - Confirm Success
Step 8 - Look for micro-deposits: No one likes to wait and we also dislike this requirement. Two small amounts will be deposited into your account in 1-2 business days. The Deposit Arrival date will be listed so you know when to check your bank account. Once these deposits have been received, continue to Step 9 to confirm the account.
Troubleshooting tip: If the deposits are not received, the first step is to contact the bank and inquire. They should have insight as to why they did not process. Try to re-enter the account information and if accepted, there was a typo on the original entry and it will be necessary to repeat Step 7. If an error shows the account was already added, contact us at email@example.com so we can investigate.
Step 9 - Find the micro-deposits and confirm:
- Review the bank account on the date of expected Deposit Arrival and notate the two amounts.
- Log in to Avail
- Go to the Bank Accounts Page and press the Confirm button, and the below window will display.
- Enter the trial deposits received in the bank account and press the Confirm button.
Congratulations, the bank account is confirmed. Payments can now be submitted or accepted.
