How to submit an application with no employer or supervisor email:
I need to complete an application through Avail for a property I am interested in renting. I get stuck because there are questions regarding employment but I am not currently working, retired, or do not have an email for my supervisor. Despite that, I can still complete my renter profile by following these steps:
I log into my Avail account and navigate to the "Renter Profile" page. I finish filling out all my basic information and renter history, but then I come to the employment history page.
In the areas titled "Company Name", "Job Title", and "Supervisor Name" I write N/A if I have never been employed or I can write in my last employers information.
For areas titled "Start Date" and "End Date" I select the dates relevant to my unemployment/retirement.miss
For the area titled "Supervisor's Email" I enter email@example.com
Yearly income can include any type of income including child support, settlements, social security benefits and any other monies made throughout the year. It can be $0 or more and I can make my potential landlord aware of my current situation in the box titled "Anything else you'd like to say about your income?"
Once I am finished entering data into every area of this page, I click on the blue "Continue" button in the bottom right hand corner of the screen.
You are not required to upload proof of identity or income documents to continue the application process. Those can be added later or sent directly to the landlord if needed.
Press Continue to proceed to the next steps of the application process. Regardless of employment status, you will be able to proceed to share the background screening report with your future landlord.
